Examples of granite in courtyard floors

Granite has become a "universal material" for courtyard floor paving due to its high hardness, wear resistance, non-slip and strong resistance to weathering. The following combines 6 latest cases to show you its "practical methods" - use it right away without taking detours.
Entrance reception area: golden hemp mosaic
At the main entrance of the villa, first use 300 mm wide sesame gray strips to trim the edges, embed 300×300 mm golden hemp squares inside, and then inlay a circle of 100 mm black wave lines in the middle, which not only divides the porch area but also resists stepping and does not appear dirty, and there is no pressure to enter and exit 200+ times a day.
Ring road: direct paving with night snow slabs
The sales channel of Chengdu Longhu Jinglin Jiuxu is directly paved with 600×1200 mm "night snow" granite dry grain slabs. The white gray texture is like falling snow, with high hardness and heavy pressure resistance. No matter how large the flow of people is, it will not powder or slip.
Waterscape & Poolside: Fuding Black Flamed Surface
The same project uses 600×600 mm Fuding Black Granite (antique surface) at the bottom of the pool and the ramp. The dark color is resistant to water stains, and the flamed surface is more non-slip when it comes into contact with water, so it is safe to walk on barefoot.
Jiangnan Micro Courtyard: Gray Hemp + Gravel Partition

stone carvings
The 57㎡ Chinese courtyard uses 30×60 cm gray hemp strips to diagonally splice the main road, leaving a 5 cm gap on the edge to fill with gray gravel, which is both permeable and forms a "soft-hard" contrast. There is no water accumulation on rainy days, and the classical flavor also comes out.
Natural undulating terrain: Granite boulders "retain slopes"
The modern natural style courtyard directly embeds 1~1.5 m³ honey-colored granite boulders in the grass slope, which plays the dual role of retaining soil and stepping. Children can sit and climb, eliminating the need for concrete retaining walls, and the cost is lower.
Minimalist geometric path: black flamed board fishbone patchwork
The narrow side yard uses 600×300 mm black flamed board to make a "fishbone" patchwork, and the gap is filled with quartz sand in the 3 mm gap. The lines are neat, and the sweeping robot can easily pass through. Maintenance only requires a high-pressure water gun once every six months.
Construction tips (directly copied from homework)
• Thickness: 20 mm is enough for pedestrian areas; if passing by cars or at the edge of waterscape, use more than 30 mm.
• Anti-slip: All outdoor surfaces are flamed, litchi or antique surfaces; smooth surfaces are limited to indoor or dry areas.
• Foundation: First make a 100 mm C15 concrete cushion layer + 20 mm 1:3 cement mortar, leaving a 1.5% slope to prevent water accumulation.
• Maintenance: Water and maintain within 7 days after paving, and then do oxalic acid cleaning + penetrating protective agent after it is completely dry, which can last for 3 to 5 years at a time.
