1. Raw material mining

From natural slate quarries, blasting and wire saw technology are used to mine slate raw stones with high density, low cracks, consistent color, and complete and stable structure.

 

2. Selection and classification

After quarrying, we will inspect and classify the slate rough stones according to their thickness, color consistency, and surface quality. The rough stones with natural color and texture changes and strong stability are selected and further processed.

 

3. Cutting

First, the stone is split manually along its natural cracks using traditional hand tools or hydraulic splitters, and then the high-quality slate ore is cut into different sizes using diamond saws or water jets.

4. Calibration and surface treatment

Use a polisher or grinder to calibrate the tile to a uniform thickness. Depending on the type of finish, the following treatments are available:

• Natural crack: preserves the original texture.
• Polished: smooth matte, perfect for interior decoration.
• Brushed or antique: softens, weathered look, creates a vintage effect.

5. Edge treatment

Depending on the project style, tiles can be treated in the following ways:

• For projects with a retro or country style, hand-cut edges can be used.
• For modern urban buildings, machine-cut edges can be used.

6. Quality inspection

Each batch of slate tiles undergoes strict quality control to check the following aspects:

• Surface flatness and texture---Size and thickness tolerance---Color uniformity---Edge smoothness and squareness---Moisture resistance

Inspection report and sample approval are provided before shipment.

• Use sturdy fumigated wooden boxes or export-grade pallets
